Meet James.

Originally from Cheltenham, James moved to the United States to study his undergraduate degree at Harvard, and ended up staying for 13 years. He started his career at as a journalist a Silicon Valley-based digital media startup, where he rose from a reporting intern to lead the marketing department, leading content launches across TV, podcasts, news and events.

After stints at BBC Studios, leading the growth team for its global streaming service, BritBox International, and at The Economist, where he lead the marketing strategy function, James moved back to London in 2025 with his American wife, two cats and 8-month-old baby. He is now studying his Master of Public Policy degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science, with a focus on climate and tech policy.

Outside of work, James’ curiosity about the world inspires his passion for travel (he’s visited 41 countries on 5 continents, and 35 U.S. states). He is also a former international junior squash player and has completed a number of long-distance road biking challenges for charity.
